Hi, I'm Daniel Bodea,
I’m a freelance Logo and Visual Identity Designer and the creative soldier behind Kreatank, my creative studio based in Timișoara, Romania.
A quick snapshot of who I am: graphic designer, dad and husband, active and fun-loving, occasional wine and beer enjoyer, and fueled by coffee when designing.
I specialize in logo design and visual identity, but my creativity goes beyond that. I also work across mascot design, logo animation, packaging, vector illustration, print, and motion design.
My journey into creativity began with a passion for drawing and art, which naturally evolved into graphic design. Since 2010, I’ve been working professionally, creating logo designs, visual identities, and digital assets for startups and established brands worldwide. I’ve worked across industries including tech, IT, software, AI, gaming, sports, fitness, food and beverage, finance, and more.
As a versatile logo and visual identity designer, I pride myself on adapting to different brands and industries. I believe every business has a story worth expressing visually. By crafting logos and brand elements tailored to each client’s goals and audience, I build visual identities that are not only distinctive but meaningful and long-lasting.

What I'm good at
Designing Logos
I design creative, unique, and memorable logos that give brands a strong and confident presence. I’ve been crafting distinctive logo designs since the days of Adobe CS5, helping brands stand out in competitive markets.
It all started with competing in logo design contests, an experience that pushed me to be competitive and versatile. To stand out, I had to master a wide range of styles and adapt to different industries. After winning over a hundred competitions, I launched my one-man creative studio and began working directly with clients. That shift helped me grow into a true professional in the field.
Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience designing logos and brand identities for startups, small businesses, and large corporations across many industries. I don’t limit myself to a specific niche; I simply love designing logos. Whether minimal or complex, playful or serious, abstract or literal, I enjoy working across styles. That said, I’m especially skilled at animal-themed logos, negative space designs, illustrative logos, pictorial marks, and mascots.
At the end of the day, if it’s a logo, I’m all in. I always give my best to create something that not only looks great, but also represents the brand, stands out in the market, and stands the test of time.

Building Visual Identities
Sometimes a logo isn’t enough. That’s why I evolved into a visual identity specialist, building strategic and cohesive brand identity systems that create consistency, clarity, and impact across every touchpoint.
After designing countless logos, I realized that to take on larger and more meaningful projects, I needed to go beyond logo design. Many brands require more than just a logo; they need a complete brand identity that’s well-designed, consistent, and creatively aligned with their vision.
So I dove deeper into what makes a brand identity truly work. I studied the design systems of major brands, analyzing how they maintain consistency while staying fresh and relevant. Once I felt confident, I began applying what I had learned to my own projects.
Brand identity is a constantly evolving field; what's effective today might feel outdated in just a few years. That’s why I stay curious and continue learning, keeping up with trends while staying rooted in strong design fundamentals.
Over time, I’ve had the pleasure of creating visual identities across a variety of industries, from software, blockchain, and business consulting to product-based companies. In some cases, I was brought in to refresh outdated identities, bringing them in line with current trends and making sure they perform well across both digital and physical environments.
A cohesive and well-designed brand identity builds trust, helps future designers work more efficiently, enhances brand recognition, and ultimately saves time, money, and unnecessary headaches in the long run.

Creating Mascots
Mascots bring brands to life. I create unique brand characters that add charm, energy, and personality while strengthening the visual identity.
I've always loved art, drawing, painting, and sculpting, and I studied it seriously, first in high school and later in university, where I majored in Arts and Design. As a kid, I dreamed of becoming a cartoon designer or an animator for Disney. I actually learned to draw by redrawing Disney characters, and that early passion for character illustration has stayed with me ever since.
Over time, I continued to develop those skills by creating mascots for various brands. I’ve designed mascots for a wide range of industries, including fitness, tech, software, music, and food and beverage. A mascot can be a powerful addition to a brand, a fictional character that connects with the audience, acts as a friendly host on websites or apps, and brings a brand’s personality to life through its own illustrated expressions.
My preferred mascot style is simple, bold, and fun. I stick to this approach because it works well across both digital and print platforms, keeping the design consistent, clear, and versatile.

Animating Logos
“Make the logo pop.” So I do, by bringing it to life through professional logo animation and motion design. I create dynamic logo animations that add energy, movement, and impact to the brand.
As a person, I’ve always loved learning and constantly adding new skills to become better at what I do. As a kid watching superhero movies, I always wanted to be the one who could absorb another hero’s power with just a touch, but in the real world, we achieve that through learning.
After becoming a logo and branding professional, I decided to dive into motion design so I could bring my logos to life through animation. I focused strictly on logo animation, and over time, I became quite skilled at it, though I’m still learning and improving every day.
I specialize in logo animation, with occasional work in animating icons or illustrations. I keep the animations short and simple, just enough to tell a quick brand story, make an impression, and capture the audience’s attention.

Just Being Creative
I’m not just a logo or brand designer. I’m a creative designer who thrives on new challenges, whether it’s illustration, experimental concepts, or bold visual ideas that push brands forward.
When I was studying Arts and Design, there wasn’t a separate profession for logo design or brand identity; it was all under the umbrella of graphic design. So, in the beginning, I experimented with everything graphic design had to offer. Later on, I found my focus in logo design and brand identity, but that didn’t mean I stepped away from other types of design work.
I’ve taken on a variety of projects over the years, including packaging, icon sets, illustrations, and print design, like T-shirts, posters, and book layouts. Many branding projects also involve creating a wide range of design assets, which naturally pushed me to stay flexible and open to anything I felt confident doing.
I enjoy stepping into other creative challenges from time to time, not just to grow my skills, but also to step out of my comfort zone and give myself a creative reset. I have a passion not just for logo design, but for creativity, art, and design.

International Designer
Working Process

Introduction
Every project starts with a conversation, whether it’s a video call or a friendly chat, followed by a detailed Creative Brief. This helps me understand your goals, audience, and vision before any design work begins.
In the first phase, we’ll schedule a friendly video call or simply chat, whichever is more comfortable for you, to discuss the details of your project. I’ll walk you through my process, provide a quote, and once everything is agreed upon, I’ll send over the Creative Brief for you to fill out.
The total payment is split into two parts: an advance and a final payment. Work begins once the advance is received, and an official invoice will be provided.
Meeting • Briefing • Brainstorming • Getting started
Concepts
This is where I go all in. I research your industry, gather inspiration, sketch ideas, and develop strategic logo concepts. The selected directions are then presented through realistic mockups so you can see how your brand will look in the real world.
Once the advance payment is received, the project officially begins. I dive into the concept phase, which includes research, gathering inspiration, sketching, and designing. Within 5 to 7 days, I’ll send you the initial concepts, presented with realistic mockups to help you better visualize them in action.
I typically present 3 to 5 logo concepts in the first round. If one stands out to you, we’ll move forward by refining it based on your feedback. If none quite hit the mark, I’ll return to the sketching phase and develop new directions using your input as a guide.
While there’s no strict limit on concepts or revisions, creativity has its limits, and after a certain point, fresh directions may become less effective. My goal is always to craft the best possible solution for your brand.
Please note: the advance payment is non-refundable due to the time and effort invested in the early stages. That said, I do everything I can to ensure you’re happy with the outcome.
Research • Sketching • Digitalization • Presentation
Revisions
Once the concepts are presented, you share your feedback and we refine the chosen direction. During this stage, we polish the details, adjusting typography, colors, and composition until everything feels right.
After I present the concepts, you’ll share your feedback and choose the direction that feels right for you. Based on your feedback, I’ll make the necessary adjustments and variations and send the updates within 2 to 3 working days.
During this phase, presentations are kept simple to allow for quicker and more efficient progress. Once we’ve locked in the final logo design, I’ll provide font and color palette options.
If the project includes more than just the logo, we’ll move on to developing those additional brand assets once the logo is finalized.

Finalizing
After approval, I prepare and deliver all the final files included in your selected package. Even after the project is complete, I stay available for support whenever you need it.
We’ve reached the final stage — the project is complete and ready to be delivered. Once the final payment is received, I prepare the deliverables, which typically takes around two working days.
For a logo, the final deliverables are the following;
Logo files: editable vector AI, EPS, PDF, SVG, and non-editable raster PNG.
Layouts: Vertical, horizontal, the logomark, and logotype are saved separately.
Colors: full color for light backgrounds, full color for dark backgrounds, and one color in black and white.
Logo Design assets: Logo Design • Favicon • Previews • Profile picture • Logo Guide
Brand Identity Assets: Logo Design • Favicon • App icon • Brand Color palette • Typography • Realistic Presentation • Stationery • Pattern • Graphical Assets • Social Media • Logo animation • Brand Guidelines
